Christopher Valavala

Christopher Valavala is an accomplished education and juvenile justice professional with over 15 years of experience participating in, designing and leading programs that remove barriers to youth success and promote safe, supportive environments. As the Student Support Programs Manager for Eagle Point School District 9, he oversees district-wide initiatives focused on student well-being, equity, and access to education, while advancing collaborative partnerships across schools, law enforcement, and community organizations.

Mr. Valavala’s career began in juvenile justice, where he worked extensively with at-risk youth, focusing on prevention, rehabilitation, and re-engagement strategies. His experience in this field informs his approach to K–12 education, integrating restorative practices, trauma-informed care, and positive behavior interventions to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

In his current role, Mr. Valavala leads comprehensive student support programs, crisis response teams, and violence prevention initiatives. He has developed and implemented district policies and systems that strengthen safety, reduce chronic absenteeism, and expand access to mental health and behavioral supports. His leadership emphasizes proactive engagement and cross-sector collaboration to create equitable outcomes for all learners.  He continues to be passionate in his lifelong commitment to empowering youth on their journey to have prosocial success and in strengthening communities.
