Foundations of Trauma Informed Care

Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care is a two-day, in-person training that introduces the core principles and practices of trauma-informed care. Grounded in curriculum developed by Trauma Informed Oregon (TIO), this training explores how trauma impacts individuals, organizations, and communities – and how systems and professionals can respond in ways that promote wellness, equity, and resilience.

Participants will build a broad understanding of trauma and toxic stress, learn to recognize its impact, and explore practical strategies for applying trauma-informed principles in everyday interactions, programs, and policies. This training emphasizes reflection, discussion, and real-world application across service settings.

This training is offered at no cost and is open to anyone interested in building more compassionate, responsive, and trauma-informed practices.  However, registration is required as space is limited.
