Young Adult Diversion Program
In 2024, Resolve launched a pilot pre-charge diversion program tailored for young adults aged 18–24 facing select charges.
Instead of navigating the court system, participants can choose a restorative diversion process to address the impact of their actions.
Led by Resolve staff and trained community volunteers, the program includes one-on-one meetings, group classes, individualized circles, and restorative dialogues, culminating in an action plan.
Successful completion ensures that charges are never ascribed to the participant’s record. This program is intended to decrease recidivism among young adults, prioritize meaningful repair for those impacted, and foster supportive connections for everyone involved.
Developed in partnership with the Jackson County District Attorney and funded by the Community Justice Commision (CJC) Grant Program, this initiative demonstrates the power of meaningful repair.
